Today we went Elderberry foraging in Malibu Creek Park.  The majority of the berries were still green…a couple of weeks and it should be prime picking time.

Fun fact: Edlerberry stems are mildly toxic, meaning you need to be very carefully to remove any stray bit from the teeny tiny berries. Meaning I’ll be spending hours de-stemming the relatively small amount of fruit I picked yesterday.
